This small pastry flan is prepared exclusively in individual portions in a puff pastry base where a mixture of milk, sugar, egg yolks, flour, lemon zest and cinnamon is poured before being baked in the oven. A pastel is eaten in 2 or 3 bites, often accompanied by a coffee: "Um pastel de nata e um café, por favor!"
